HOW DOES IPL WORK?

DEESS IPL devices are designed to help break the cycle of hair growth.

  • The light energy is transferred through the skin’s surface and is absorbed by the melanin present in the hair shaft.

  • The absorbed light energy is converted to heat energy (below the surface of the skin), which disables the hair follicle preventing further growth.

  • Treated hairs naturally fall out over the course of a few days to 1-2 weeks.

NOTE:

IPL only works on hair of growth period ((there are also other periods of hair's growth cycle), so after one treatment you can see hair of some areas grow as usual, while hair of other areas grow slower, it is normal reaction, cos the growth cycle stages of hair in different pores are different. However, after 6-10 treatments, the effect of permanent depilation usually can be achieved.

HOW LONG DO TREATMENTS TAKE?

Everybody’s hair is completely different.

Different colour, thickness and density means some people will see results faster than others and will experience hair removal at different stages.

Depending on which areas you are treating the time can vary.

Ultimately the DEESS GP582 is the fastest home-use device on the market, and the DEESS GP586 is the most intelligent.

IS IT SUITABLE FOR ME?

DEESS GP586 & GP582 are suitable for all but the dark brown of skin tones.

Both our products feature a skin tone sensor that checks your skin tone is suitable, and the device will only flash if it is safe.

DEESS also benefits from our Detect and Set feature, which automatically selects the right setting for you giving an accurate personalised treatment.

Essentially, all the hard work is done for you so that treatments are simple and straightforward.

THE WAY CAN KNOW YOUR SKIN TONE-GP531

SKIN TONE TESTER

Skin tone sensor adopts Fitzpatrick taxonomy to divide skin color into six types, used for skin tone type test and offering power level suggestion.

DARKER SKIN TONES

Darker skin tones contain more melanin which can absorb more of the light energy meaning treating at the correct energy level is important.

With GP586, our skin tone sensor means the device will only flash if a suitable skin tone is detected.

For skin tones which are too dark to treat, the illuminators around the activation button will illuminate red and cannot be activated.

GENTLE

If you are using IPL for the first time, it can be an unusual experience.

People can become familiar quite quickly with the IPL flashes, but to make treatments as comfortable as possible, GP586, GP582 & GP588 features a Gentle Mode – for any more sensitive areas.
